As electrodes are used the weld face deforms from the original shape. As the weld face grows, the current density from the weld decreases which may lead to cold welds or low quality welds. Dressing the tip when the face has worn is critical to maintaing quality welds.

Lightweight and rugged construction, this CMW Pnuematic Power Handle requires a clearance of only 1.5 IN with a standed guide ring and 2 IN with an extended guide ring. In most situtations this allows dressing of the electrodes without removal from the welder. Operating at a cutting speed of 1,200 RPM, it enables the operator to dress electrodes quickly and accurately. Cutters and Guide Rings can easily be replaced.
